What is Residential Facility Superintendent?

 

A Residential Facilities Superintendent (RFS) is a professional whose mission is to coordinate and manage the general operation of an apartment building. The pay scale may start around $30, 000 and can go as high as $100,000! As the responsibilities increases so will the salary, living accommodations, and additional benefits. This is a large growing industry and we pride ourselves at providing the best possible theoretical and practical approach to this field.

The (RFS) course, made up of four (4) modules, covers technical terminology, NYC Building Code, Structural Elements, Plumbing, Heating and Electrical Systems, NYC Electrical Code Requirements, Security Fire Safety, and Facilities Audit and Inspection. It also includes the prep for NYC Fire Department Certificates of Fitness for Tests #12 for Sprinkler System Maintenance and #97 for Standpipe Systems. A one-year free membership to the Superintendents Technical Association and RFS Designation is included.

How do the four (4) modules work?

Each module is a stand-alone module. If you miss the one module, you can start the next module at the date on the schedule. You need to complete all modules to receive RFS certificate. Receiving the (RFS) certificate entitles you to use the employment placement resources of Real Estate Education Center.
