    The major purpose of this course is to train you in a career as Residential Facilities Superintendent. The Residential Facilities Superintendent (RFS) is a professional whose mission is to coordinate and manage the general operation of an apartment building. The pay scale may start around $30 000 and can go as high as $100 000! As the responsibilities, increases with the position, so will the salary, and will include living accommodations plus additional benefits. This is a large industry and we pride ourselves at giving the best possible theoretical and practical introduction to this field.

    The course, made up of four (4) modules covers technical terminology, NYC Building Code, Structural Elements, Plumbing, Heating and Electrical Systems, NYC Electrical Code Requirements, Security Fire Safety, and Facilities Audit and Inspection. Finely, this course includes the prep for NYC Fire Department Certificates of Fitness for Tests #12 for Sprinkler System Maintenance and #97 for Standpipe Systems. A one-year free membership to the Superintendents Technical Association is included. and RFS Designation.

    How do the four (4) modules work?
    Each module is a stand-alone module. If you miss the one module, you can start the next module at the date on the schedule. You need to complete all modules to receive RFS certificate. Receiving this certificate entitles you to use the employment placement resources of Real Estate Education Center.
